On 17 December 2024, the RoboCARE research team officially launched the project during its kick-off meeting at the Laboratory of Robotics and Automation, Democritus University of Thrace.
The meeting brought together the research team to review the project’s scientific vision, establish the initial work plan and coordinate the activities of the first work packages. Discussions focused on the project’s objectives, technical specifications, project management procedures and the roadmap for the development of socially-aware, adaptive and explainable robotic systems.
Particular emphasis was placed on the definition of the experimental validation scenarios, the organisation of the research activities and the planning of the project’s first technical deliverables.
The kick-off meeting marks the beginning of the four-year RoboCARE project and establishes the foundation for the scientific and technological developments that will follow throughout the project’s lifetime.
